About Erin

Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor at EC Mental Health Therapy, PLLC. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Erin is a combat veteran, military spouse, mother of three, and personal trainer who understands that life can feel overwhelming even when you are used to pushing through difficult situations. As a member of the United States Air Force, she served in Iraq in 2006. She has also been married for more than 20 years to an Army Special Forces soldier and has experienced military life from multiple perspectives.

Having navigated deployments both personally and as a military spouse, Erin understands the unique stressors, sacrifices, and transitions that service members, veterans, and military families often face. She also understands the daily realities of balancing work, parenting, family responsibilities, and personal well-being. Outside of counseling, Erin enjoys working out and attending her children’s sporting events. As a busy mom, she recognizes how difficult it can be to make time for yourself when so many people depend on you.

Erin is committed to providing a client-centered counseling experience grounded in trust, compassion, and collaboration. She believes that every individual has the ability to gain insight into their challenges and develop the skills needed to improve their mental health and overall well-being. Her goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

Because each person’s therapeutic journey is unique, Erin tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of each client. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These evidence-based approaches help clients develop practical tools, increase psychological flexibility, deepen their self-understanding, and take meaningful steps toward living in alignment with their values.

Erin enjoys working with individuals who may be navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, family demands, or major life transitions. She is especially passionate about supporting service members, veterans, military spouses, first responders, busy parents, and individuals who are accustomed to caring for everyone else but may need support themselves.
